The Recruiter Awards were created to highlight the achievements of agencies and in-house recruiters across the UK. As the most widely recognised and celebrated awards in the industry, they highlight successes within the community that may not otherwise be noticed.
Espirita used their entry as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on two of their key projects over the last year.
The first was their work with Remote Medical International on the ‘Labs on wheels’ project which saw mobile COVID-19 testing laboratories deployed across the Southeast. This project helped save lives and prevent the pandemic worsening in areas where outbreaks or new strains popped up.
Commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), in the first four months of operations, the project achieved over 14,400 hours of training, 69,900 hours of operational deployment, 43,000 COVID-19 tests delivered, and 8,700 positive cases identified, ensuring that key infrastructure and government functions were able to operate during the pandemic.
The second project they included was their work with the prestigious Cleveland Clinic London (CCL). This RPO contract began in January 2019 and involved the team fully staffing Cleveland Clinic’s newest hospital.
Throughout this they recruited over 1,200 Caregivers (this is what CCL call all their employees), with roles ranging from the NHS equivalent of a Band 2, up to the equivalent of a Band 9 across a range of departments. With the added challenge of a pandemic throughout the recruitment period, the team were able to adapt and find new ways of connecting with candidates.
One of their clients said:
"Espirita have been a pleasure to work with over the past year. They are thoughtful in their approach, responsive to our teams’ requests, and work collaboratively with us to identify and obtain viable candidates for open positions. We appreciate all of their efforts, especially as this has been a busy recruiting period as we gear up to hospital opening."
